Attorney Richard A. LefchakAttorney Richard Lefchak began the practice of law as a litigator, investigating, evaluating, initiating and defending commercial, franchise, contracts, insurance and tort litigation. Mr. Lefchak has litigated jury and non-jury matters in state and federal courts, and has conducted administrative hearings. Over the years, he has counseled and assisted in the formation of partnerships, corporations and limited liability companies, and has handled estate matters and commercial transactions relating to sale, purchase, financing and transfer of businesses, both large and small. Mr. Lefchak has represented clients in the sale and purchase of private and commercial real estate, mortgage transactions, leases and related matters. Mr. Lefchak has served as an arbitrator, spoken at seminars, testified as an expert witness, provided input on legislation and hearings, participated in beverage industry panel discussions and has been quoted in trade publications. Contributing to the firm’s understanding of supplier and distributor relations, franchise matters, and beverage industry business practices, before becoming a lawyer, Mr. Lefchak worked in the sales and marketing departments of a regional brewer and a major city wholesaler.

Attorney Lefchak is admitted to practice law in the United States Courts of Appeals for the Third Circuit; the United States District Courts for the Middle and Eastern Districts of Pennsylvania and the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.

Education

Attorney Richard Lefchak earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Temple University and Juris Doctor degree from Temple University Law School. During law school, he was awarded the Barristers Society Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy by Federal Judge Clifford Scott Green. At Temple, he was honored to have been selected to serve as a teaching assistant in trial advocacy courses. Mr. Lefchak worked at Temple Legal Aid office, and while still in law school conducted a full day trial in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas under the supervision of the Legal Aid director. While in law school, Mr. Lefchak also served as a legal intern for Federal Magistrate Tullio Gene Leomporra.
